City of Kitchener hosting summer jobs expo

KITCHENER — The City of Kitchener is hosting a summer job fair on Saturday as it looks to fill dozens of positions at camps and youth drop-in programs.

The hiring expo takes place Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm at Victoria Hills Community Centre, 10 Chopin Dr. Staff from various city departments will be on hand.

Free parking is available, and the community center is served by Grand River Transit. Applicants should bring copies of their resume to apply in person. Both paid and volunteer opportunities will be available.

Each year, the city hires more than 200 staff, ages 15 and up, for positions ranging from camp leaders and aquatics instructors, to inclusion support workers and youth drop-in co-ordinators.

Volunteer opportunities are also available for those ages 12 and up.
