Drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Bingemans in Kitchener extended another week
The Waterloo area has announced a number of initiatives to give more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
They say the drive-through vaccination clinic at Bingemans, Kitchener, will continue to operate for at least another week.

“The drive-through vaccination clinic can be particularly attractive for everyone with mobility impairments who would find it easier to get vaccinated in the comfort of their own vehicle,” said a statement from the region.
“The public is encouraged to bring family members, friends, and neighbors who might otherwise not be able to get vaccinated.”
The region says the clinic is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Additionally, the region says the Cambridge Pinebush Vaccination Clinic will have both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines available for the next several weeks.
The move will make the region’s largest clinic more family-friendly as everyone can get their first or second dose of the vaccine of their choice.
The region notes that Langs Ayr and Cambridge Pinebush Family Health Team vaccination clinics have closed and will not reopen.

Anyone who has received a first dose of Moderna at either clinic can receive a second dose at Cambridge Pinebush Clinic.

As with all clinics in the region, no appointments are required, although patients must wait 28 days after an initial injection before receiving a second dose of Moderna or Pfizer.
