Kitchener Food Truck Days begin Monday
Ten popular food trucks from the region will stop at community centers in this city for a month
The City of Kitchener has partnered with a number of our local food trucks to bring you Kitchener Food Truck Days.
Starting Monday June 15, you and your family are invited to these Food Truck Days at community centers across town.
Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic says this is a great opportunity for residents to enjoy much-needed time outdoors while supporting some of our local small businesses.
“Summertime is obviously a popular time for people to get out and enjoy our community. This has been a challenging number of months and we are very excited that we can offer this on short notice for our community so they can get out and enjoy the sun a bit. “
Community centers include Rockway, Country Hills, Doon Pioneer Park, Victoria Hills, and Kingsdale.
The event takes place Monday to Friday between June 15 and July 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Some of the local favorites will be attending, such as Hangry Harry’s, BeaverTails, Jashan-e-Dawat, Schmuck, Fo Cheezy, Ish & Chips, SWAT, Berlin 95 and El Milagro.
The city is reminding those wishing to attend Kitchener Food Truck Days to practice physical distance by being two meters or six feet apart and to limit gatherings to a maximum of 10 people. The employees use floor markings, pylons or sticks to ensure a safe separation right through to the order window.
In a press release, the city said, “Kitchener Food Truck Days is a safe, fun, family-friendly activity for members of the community while they are physically distancing themselves. The food is safely prepared and delivered with logs for the health and safety of visitors and employees. “
