Kitchener Rangers keep perfect record after 4-2 win against Guelph Storm

The Kitchener Rangers are this season after a 4-2 win in Aud on Tuesday night 3-0 against their Highway 7 rivals Guelph Storm this season.

Mitchell Martin scored two goals while Mike Petizian and Roman Schmidt also scored goals for the Rangers.

Kitchener led 4-0 in the third half before Cam Allen scored his first career goal in the Ontario Hockey League in the power play for the Storm at 8:32.

Matthew Papais then scored his second goal of the season a few minutes later.

Jackson Parsons made 21 saves in the Rangers win, while Owen Bennett stopped 17 shots in the defeat.

The Rangers remain undefeated with a 4-0 record in the 2021/22 season, while the Storm are 1-3-1 in five games.

Both teams return on Friday, with the Rangers hosting the Windsor Spitfires and the Storm traveling to Sarnia to play the Sting.

The two rivals will play against each other again on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Sleeman Center in downtown Guelph.
