Loaded handgun found in Kitchener park: Waterloo police

Waterloo Regional Police say a loaded pistol was found under a tree in a park in the Rosemount neighborhood of Kitchener Thursday night.

Police say a local resident saw the gun under a tree in the park near Manchester Road just after 7 p.m. before officers arrived to find it.

They did not disclose where the gun came from, but said their drug and firearms unit is investigating the matter.
