Love books? You can now get married at the Kitchener Public Library
Her new Ceremonys in the Stacks package is $ 999 and includes a one-hour ceremony with up to 30 guests, a wedding clerk, and book-themed decorations
The Kitchener Public Library wants you to marry “surrounded by the greatest love stories of all time”.
Her downtown Kitchener location offers a new ceremony in the Stacks Wedding Package, which she believes is “perfect for couples looking for a unique and intimate way to celebrate with friends and family.”
The package costs $ 999 and includes a one-hour ceremony with up to 30 guests, a wedding officer, book-themed decorations, and 30 minutes to take photos in the award-winning central library.
“In the past we were approached for engagement and wedding photo shoots, so why not go a step further and offer weddings in the library? For many, the library has played a key role in their history, making it a very special place to exchange vows, ”said Mary Chevreau, CEO of Kitchener Public Library. “Redesigning the library as a venue for special events such as weddings allows us to continue offering innovative library programs and services.”
To celebrate the start and in recognition of how difficult the past year has been for many, KPL is giving away a free wedding to a happy couple through a drawing. The winning couple can choose from selected dates in 2021.
They emphasize that the library “is an integrative space and all love is welcome”.
Here you can take part in the competition or book a wedding ceremony.
