Mall pop-up puts novel spin on house hunting
A new pop-up store in Yorkdale Mall is selling condominiums to consumers returning to brick and mortar shopping and anyone who likes to stop by for a new home buying experience.
CentreCourt opened an interactive sales center for WestLine condos in October. This is the first time a property developer has set up a retail center in Toronto’s Yorkdale.
Jason Lam, CentreCourt’s vice president of sales and marketing, calls it an “out-of-the-box marketing strategy to excite brokers and reach consumers.”
“Yorkdale Mall is one of the main amenities, just a five-minute drive or two subway stops from the future WestLine condos on Allen Road and Sheppard West,” he says.
“We are able to communicate the transport and motorway connections that WestLine offers its residents and at the same time to present its value proposition to homeowners and investors.”
The 14-story building will be built alongside the future 1,000 acre Downsview redevelopment project, which is believed to be the largest master plan in the greater Toronto area. Some features include 12,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space, a modern lounge and co-working space, a large outdoor garden and roof terrace, and a special children’s play area.
This is CentreCourt’s fourth launch of condominium during the pandemic. The property developer has found unique ways to market homes over the past year, including a drive-in condominium in 2020 and PRIME on Wheels, a mobile sales center, in April 2021.
