Police investigating a teacher’s discipline at Kitchener elementary school

Waterloo Regional Police say they are at the very early stage of an investigation into the discipline of a teacher for a student at a Kitchener elementary school.

A police spokesman told Global News that the service received a complaint on Friday about an incident at the Alpine Public School.

Detectives conduct a criminal investigation into allegations involving disciplinary action taken by a teacher against a student at the Const public alpine school. said Ashley Dietrich.

“The investigation is ongoing,” she said in an email.

The police did not provide any further information.

A spokesman for the Waterloo district school committee said the investigation was known.
