Teen arrested after ‘hold and secure’ at Kitchener high school
A 15-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the hold on Wednesday and held securely in a Kitchener high school, according to Waterloo Regional Police.
Police said officers were called to the school on Charles Street around 9:40 am after an online threat was reported that was potentially harmful to Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute staff and students.
Shortly after 11 a.m., police announced on Twitter that the school had been arrested and secured during the officers’ investigation.
Within an hour, a second tweet announced that the lock had been lifted and secured.

Late on Wednesday evening, the police announced that they had arrested a youth.
The 15-year-old man is charged with issuing death threats.
