Waterloo Regional Police Seize Suspected Drugs in Kitchener Traffic Stop
Waterloo Region, Ontario – On January 7, 2023, police received a report of a suspicious person operating a vehicle in the area of Fairview Street and Riverview Avenue in Wilmot Township.
On January 10, 2023, officers observed the same suspicious vehicle in the area of Activa Avenue in Kitchener. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified.
Through the investigation, suspected cocaine, alprazolam and cannabis was seized.
A 20-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Possess Cannabis Over 30 grams
- Drive While Suspended
- Novice Driver- Presence of Drug
The male was held for a bail hearing.
