Waterloo Regional Police Seize Suspected Drugs in Kitchener Traffic Stop

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On January 7, 2023, police received a report of a suspicious person operating a vehicle in the area of ​​Fairview Street and Riverview Avenue in Wilmot Township.

On January 10, 2023, officers observed the same suspicious vehicle in the area of ​​Activa Avenue in Kitchener. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified.

Through the investigation, suspected cocaine, alprazolam and cannabis was seized.

A 20-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possess Cannabis Over 30 grams
  • Drive While Suspended
  • Novice Driver- Presence of Drug

The male was held for a bail hearing.
